Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Attached is the flyer and Media Advisory for the Press Conference Local 375 is holding on 9/21 regarding CityTime and the SAIC contract renewal for another $110 Million which has to be acted upon by September 30th. Local 375 has led the fight against CityTime as a rigid and invasive timekeeping system for the past 5 years and we again have an opportunity to impact its future. Please distribute this flyer and encourage your members to join us at the Press Conference at 1pm on the steps of City Hall.
Comptroller John Liu has already stopped one CityTime contract and is currently auditing the SAIC contract. We are asking for an immediate freeze to any further expansion of CityTime until all of the stakeholders, including the Comptroller, the City Council, the Public Advocate, and the Mayor's Office, have had the opportunity to fully assess this now astronomical contract. Councilmember James has also been very supportive on this issue and has reached out to her colleagues in the Council asking for their participation in this event. The press conference has also been endorsed by DC37 and Executive Director Lillian Roberts' Office will be represented.
We are asking for representation from the NYS Assembly and Senate, as well as from unions around the City. Please try to be there. Thank you.
