The Women’s Committee’s objective is to raise awareness on the issues that are essential to women such as Healthcare, homelessness, homecare, childcare, housing, the elderly and education.
Its vision is to “increase the visibility of women’s leadership historically and currently in such movements as Labor, Women’s Rights, Civil Rights, Community, Education and Politics.
The committee’s functions include the Annual Women’s History Month program, Health Fair and Fundraisers. Currently there are eighteen members serving on the Women’s Committee.
