The Education Committee is responsible for the development, implementation and promotion of the education programs of the Local.

It was established to enable member participation in the planning of the Local’s education programs. 

Some of the programs and services the Committee oversees are: Workplace Literacy, Exam Preparation Courses, Training Programs, Special Event Commemoration and the Book Club.

The Committee is proud of all our programs.  A major success has been the Workplace Literacy Program providing members a wide variety of job-related courses.  A major component of the program is our computer skills training courses, held in our state-of-the-art computer training center, giving members the opportunity to stay on top of the latest technological advances that will help them in their jobs.

The Committee meets monthly (except for July and August) on the second Tuesday at 6 Harrison Street..
