One of the cornerstones of unionism has been the struggle for just and equal treatment  on the job and in society.

A local union Committee on Equity and Civil Rightscan offer the expertise and skills needed to provide fair and equitable representation for all members.  An active, functioning Local COE will ensure that the union, through its stewards and local committees, is aware of and willing to deal with issues involving unequal treatment.

The primary mission of Local Equity and Civil Rights Committees is to act as a resource for the local and membership on discrimination and conflict issues.

An active Committee on Equity and Civil Rights will also make it clear to management and to all union members that the union is committed to dealing with the needs and protecting the interests of the entire membership and our communities.  COE meets 1st Thursday of each Month!
